Violet yet rose red, the hue is a plum red of medium tone. Large and cut from a nice crystal of garnet this piece has a disarming way of its own. The clarity is good (MI1 - moderately Included 1) and eye clean. There are a few nicks which can be removed by repolishing. Two feathers extend from the girdle edge and can be seen under 10x magnification. The stone is off centered and displays a small but shallow cavity on the pavilion 3rd and 4th tier.
