Dogbone shaped aquamarine. Here is a colorless beryl with a funny shape. This specimen does not show the strong prism faces normally seen. Instead, it has a more-or-less triangular cross-section and many skinny faces running its length. The really unusual feature is how the stone tapers in and then back out again as you pass down its length. It is mostly transparent with a deep hole in one side. Don't feed this one to your dog!! |
