"The Great Eye of Burma" Sapphire
The back side looks like a non-descript metorite - black and nodular. The "face" however has a black hexagonal center with and white ring with radiating edges surrounded again with a black perimeter. The black appears to be dark blue under strong white light examination. The polish has a high shine and there are layers of "silk" giving the stone a nice "sheen". Hey! It's not called the "Great Eye of Burma" for nothing!
