Diamonds and Headdress Jewelry was the theme of a unique challenge for jewelry designers and hair dressers, sponsored by the Diamond High Council of Antwerp. The Council invited teachers and students of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the National High Institute of Fine Arts, and St Lucas Pavilion, as well as independent designers, to create a piece of headdress jewelry, using a minimum of 10 carats of diamond, of which the smallest is not less than 10 points. Students from SITO, a school for hair dressers, created an appropriate hairstyle to complement each jewel. The result is an exhibition, sponsored by Paribas Bank, showing an enormous range of crowning glories for those who don’t mind standing out in a crowd. The Provincial Diamond Museum, Lange Herentalsestraat, hosted the exhibition.
