Australian pearls have joined the magnificent catwalk fashions of Paris’ prêt-a-porter parades.
Recognized by American Vogue and accepted by Paris’ Chamber Syndicate as the first Australian designer to exhibit at the world renowned prêt-a-porter shows, Australian designer Collette Dinnigan has embraced the south sea pearl as the perfect accomplishment to her acclaimed work.
So inspired by the beauty of Australian South Sea pearls as well as their international reputation, Dinnigan, who is also regarded highly on the international fashion scene, has titled one portion of her collection for the October parades Pearlessence.
Dinnigan’s work is not restricted to the international “perfect round”. She will specifically design a jewelry collection predominantly made up for baroque, semi-baroque, and circle South Sea pearls, producing these exclusive pieces for modeling with her garments.
