This kyanite is comparable to the finest Burma blue sapphires. A very attractive stone, this cabochon is a gemmy oval cabochon and has a good polish. The color is banded and is a typical charateristic of kyanites. A collector's item indeed.

CAVEAT: Kyanites have cleavage plane so it is a fragile stone. It should be properly set to protect the stone from blows and knocks.
